In its editor's column on Tuesday 5th of November, Aftenposten writes that they are skeptical about whether the Stoltenberg Committee on Global Health's recommendation to increase the aid budget above 1% of GNI is the way to go. However, they stress the importance of other proposals from the committee, such as increasing support for cost-effective measures and increasing the share of the aid budget that goes to health initiatives.

On Monday 4 November, the Committee of Experts in Global Health, led by Camilla Stoltenberg, released its report on how Norway can help reduce premature death by 50% globally by 2050. Langsikt is one of the commissioning parties for the committee, and has also had a central part of the secretariat. NRK mentioned the report launch first, and the report has also been featured in VG, Forskning.no, Dagsavisen, Vårt Land, Adresseavisen, Nettavisen and others. Some 40,000 Norwegian citizens picked at random will next month receive an invitation to help shape the future of their country's wealth, including what to do with its $1.8 trillion sovereign wealth fund, the world's largest.
