We are looking for an Executive Director to lead Langsikt operationally and strategically. The role includes people management, policy development, communications, strategy, partnerships and recruitment. The Executive Director is also responsible for securing funding and for sound financial management, and reports to Langsikt's board.
Over the past three years we have grown from three to ten full-time equivalents, funded by grants and donations. We are visible in public debate, have developed new policy initiatives, and collaborate with actors from the civil service, academia, civil society and the private sector. From 2027 we will be around 11 FTEs, with funding secured for both 2027 and 2028.
The new Executive Director will build on this. How can we contribute even more to society's resources being used where they do the most good globally, and to policy becoming more long-term? Which thematic areas should we prioritise going forward? Which projects and partnerships can shift the public conversation and solve global problems?
You will work closely with our Head of Research, Head of Emerging Technologies and Project Manager for Development Policy, as well as our Head of Animal Welfare, who joins us this autumn. The Chief of Staff supports you with the administrative management of the organisation.
Our Executive Director to date has taken up an important role in global health internationally, but continues as a board member. Read more in our press release.
