Note launch: Autonomous KI disaster: Real threat or sci-fi?

Welcome to the launch of the “Autonomous KI Disaster” report. KI already creates a number of problems in today's society. Is it counterproductive to worry about disasters caused by autonomous KI system, or is it naive not to? Lead author Preben Monteiro Ness, PhD fellow at Simula and NTNU and part-time advisor in Long Term, has delved into the research and looked at what divides the researchers. What are the arguments for taking autonomous KI disasters seriously, and what are the arguments against?

Preben will present the report followed by a panel discussion between three of Norway's top KI researchers with different views on the risk picture:
