Launch of the 10 AI commandments

Fifteen of Norway's leading experts in technology, research and business have chiseled out ten bids for value-added and long-term artificial intelligence (AI). The bids will provide guidelines for Norway at a time when IT is developing faster than regulations, institutions and political processes. What principles should underlie development? And how can the policy facilitate both value creation and that we safeguard the Norwegian social model?
Welcome to an exciting conversation on 23 October at 8-9 at Bread and Cirkus, where we will hear the perspectives of both experts and politicians on these issues. We hope to see you there!

More information about the selection:
In 1971, the Parliament's Industrial Committee formulated the Ten Oil Commandments. They provided political direction for a new and inscrutable resource—with prudence, foresight, and long-sightedness. The result was that oil not only built an industry, but the entire nation. Today, Norway faces a new resource and a new force: data and artificial intelligence (AI). KI is the biggest change and opportunity our society faces. Technology is evolving faster than regulations, institutions and political processes. Without clear principles, we risk losing control.
The committee has been chaired by Silvija Seres, Special Adviser in Long Term. Other participants are Camilla Stoltenberg (NORCE), Morten Goodwin (UiA), Christer Tryggestad (McKinsey), Ellen Strålberg (Technology Council), Eskil Grendahl (FFI), Heather Broomfield (Digitization Directorate), Isabelle Ringnes (speaker and entrepreneur), Klas Pettersen (SimulaMet), Laxmi Akkarkar Aju (Cognite), Marianne Marthinsen (former parliamentary representative), Niels Nagelhus Schia (NUPI), Torgeir Waterhouse (ICT-Norway), Paul Chaffey (Halogen) and, Aksel Braanen Sterri (Long Term).
