The world's health systems are under intense pressure - not least after the United States withdrew from the WHO and shut down USAID. Norway has previously been referred to as a humanitarian superpower - but has all the prerequisites to become a global health superpower. Why should we be, and how? We will be introduced to a Norwegian-funded collaboration in Tanzania that has saved many lives. And our politicians will debate global health's place in Norwegian development policy.
